Building Sustainable Super

Vision Super is committed to a sustainable future, and we believe that long-term economic viability is linked to environmental stability. This is reflected in the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations of our investments and day to day operations.

ESG stands for 'Environmental, Social and Governance'. These are investment principles and fund governance that embraces sustainability factors. In addition to being environmentally and socially responsible, there is growing evidence that suggests that ESG factors, when integrated into investment analysis and decision making, can offer investors potential long-term performance advantages.

Investments

Our investment team seeks out fund managers that actively integrate ESG considerations into their stock selection process, and all our existing managers are encouraged to consider signing up to the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment (UNPRI). We extend socially responsible investments into our core products as we find suitable managers.

The Vision Super core portfolio includes Fund Managers such as Generation Investment Management, chaired by Al Gore, and Baillie Gifford, one of the top ten ESG-ranked managers according to research commissioned by the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC).

We are members of the following organisations, which actively conduct environmental, social and governance research:

Through our collaboration with these organisations, we encourage the investment community to take into account the impact of environment, social and governance issues in their investments to aid in better investment decisions and greater long term performance.
