Many Australians are now able to choose which super fund will receive their employer SG contributions. By law, all employers must offer eligible employees a choice of superannuation fund. Please note: Vision Super is a compliant fund.
3 Steps to Super Choice
1. Identify the eligible employee
Not everyone is eligible. You are not required to do anything for a non-eligible employee.
2. Offer employee a choice of their super fund
Give all employees a Choice of Fund form within 28 days of them starting work.
Make sure you complete the employer section of the form
3. Act on their choice
You have two months from the day an employee chooses a new fund to switch future SG contributions to that fund.
If your employee does not nominate a fund, you must pay their SG contributions to your Employer Fund.
