Australian Council for Super Investors (ACSI) The Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI) assists its member super funds to manage environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) investment risk. It provides a proxy voting advisory and engagement service to member superannuation funds, as well as advocacy for higher corporate governance standards, participation in the public policy debate and co-operation with international governance organisations.

ESG Research Australia (ESGRA) is an association of 41 members which constitute superannuation funds, fund managers and asset consultants, who aim to increase the number and quality of stock broker research in Australia which encompasses environmental, social and governance issues. Generation is an independent, private, owner-managed partnership with offices in London, New York and Sydney. The firm was co-founded in 2004 by Al Gore and David Blood. Generation's investment approach aims to deliver superior investment returns by integrating sustainability research into fundamental equity analysis. This is based on the idea that sustainability factors—economic, environmental, social and governance criteria—will drive a company's returns over the long term.

The Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) is a collaboration of 51 Australian and New Zealand investors who are focussed on the impact that climate change has on the financial value of investments. The group seeks to ensure that the risk and opportunities associated with climate change are incorporated into investment decisions by raising awareness of the potential impacts of climate change, encourage best practices approaches and provide information to assist the investment industry to understand how climate change can impact investment decisions.
Membership to the IGCC allows Vision to have access to a myriad of information in which Vision can gain a better awareness and knowledge of climate change impacts.

Sustainable Asset Management (SAM) SAM is an investment group focused exclusively on Sustainability Investing. The firm’s offering comprises asset management, indexes and private equity. Its asset management capabilities include a range of single-theme, multi-theme and core sustainability investment strategies catering to institutional asset owners and financial intermediaries in Europe, the United States, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Through its index activities, SAM has partnered with Dow Jones Indexes and STOXX Limited for the publication and licensing of the globally recognized Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) as well as customized sustainability benchmarks. The United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment (UNPRI) are a response to the growing worldwide concern about environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues which can affect the performance of investment portfolios. The UNPRI currently has 743 members which are made up of asset owners, investment managers and professional service partners. The UN PRI is a set of 6 voluntary and aspirational Principles which are expected to assist in achieving enhanced long-term financial performance as well as aligning the interests of investors with those of society as a whole.

Our UNPRI membership gives us a framework to incorporate and address ESG issues. By signing to the UNPRI, we make a commitment to the six principles which provide a course of possible action for incorporating ESG issues into mainstream investment decision making and ownership practices. Applying these principles should not only lead to a better long term returns but also a closer alignment between the objectives of institutional investors and those of society at large.
