We’re pleased to advise you that the technical error that occurred in our reporting to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has now been resolved.
The error caused members’ salary sacrifice and employer super contributions to double in the report accepted by the ATO. This resulted in some members receiving a tax notification from the ATO saying that they had exceeded their yearly contribution cap and as a result, have received a tax liability.
The ATO has accepted our amended report and has advised us that they will be processing it over the weekend of Saturday 12 November 2016.
Once this is finalised, you will receive an amended notification from the ATO via mail or your MyGov account, and you will be advised if you need to take any action.
