We need another superstar in our Business Development team, led by Colin Runacres. This is where you can help us - we’re looking for an enthusiastic person with an extensive existing network in their community, who’s committed to the ideals of industry super and is a natural at sales.

Colin Runacres, National Manager Sales

What we do at Vision Super is about changing lives. When I was 20, my boss took me aside and told me two things that I’ve never forgotten – join the union, and put extra into your super. I didn’t realise it at the time, but taking his advice to put extra into my super was one of the smartest things I ever did – it changed my future, and what we’re doing every day at Vision Super changes the lives and futures of our members too. We’re the good guys – I absolutely believe that.

And that makes what we do enormously personally rewarding, as well as making it easy to talk to potential customers about their employees’ super, because I know we’ve got something great to offer them.

The other thing I love the most about working for Vision Super is our team – it’s such an enormously supportive group of people. We all have each other’s backs and that’s a great environment to work in.

When a new member of the team starts we pair them up with a buddy to learn the ropes. We give them a whole lot of training – we can’t teach people how to sell, that’s something that either comes naturally or it doesn’t – but we can teach them how not to lose a sale. And we can teach them the nuances of our products and our competitive edge. We don’t just chuck people in the deep end and expect them to swim.

What we need in a new team member is not just that innate sales ability – we do want to see a proven sales record, but I’m also looking for a desire to help people, the ability to tell a story, and the drive to get out there and form connections with people. That’s really the focus of the job – getting out there among your existing networks, talking to small (and even large) businesses around Melbourne about how we can make things easier for them with their employees’ super and help their employees with better financial wellbeing, telling them the Vision Super story.
