The role of insurance
We understand the uncertainty caused by COVID-19 (Coronavirus) might leave you with some questions about the insurance cover you have with Vision Super.
Vision Super is here for you, and we want to reassure you that all insurance claims will be assessed as normal – your insurance with Vision Super does not have pandemic exclusions or other specific exclusions for COVID-19 that would affect a claim if you need to make one.
If you’re unsure whether you’re eligible to make a claim, you can call Vision Super on 1300 300 820 Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5pm, or otherwise email email@example.com for the relevant claim forms.
Vision Super provides three types of insurance cover:-
- Death cover provides your estate or beneficiaries with a benefit if you die.
- Death and total & permanent disability cover provides a benefit if you die or are permanently disabled.
- Income protection cover provides you with an income if you can't work due to illness or injury.

Job Loss or Stood Down due to COVID-19
If you have found yourself in financial difficulty because of the pandemic, the Australian government has announced several support services – you can find more information on these on the Treasury webpage.
Need cover or want to make changes?
Your circumstances and needs are constantly changing, which means so do your insurance needs. The amount of insurance you need depends on your assets (savings and valuables) and commitments (mortgage repayments, children's school fees, family living costs, etc). To see how much cover you need try our insurance calculators.
You may apply at any time to increase your cover or change your cover type. To increase your cover you will need to complete the Insurance application/variation form with a personal statement, and forward both forms to us. This can be done online by logging into your account, or you can post or email both forms to us.
