Here’s how to make the most of your retirement savings.
Now that you’re retired, your focus has likely shifted from building your super to making it last. Retirement isn’t a one-time event either — as your needs and priorities evolve, you may have questions about managing your retirement income or what to do if your circumstances change.
Managing your Vision Super accounts online is simple, secure and convenient. Log in to your online account to check your balance, view investment performance, manage your pension payments and access important documents whenever it suits you.
And if your money is split across multiple accounts, there’s no need to juggle logins. If you have a super account and a retirement pension (our Account based pension), you can manage them in one place with a single login — much like viewing your savings and transaction accounts together in online banking.
Choose or change your income payments — view your payment schedule, or change your frequency or amount online.
Make a withdrawal — take lump sums on top of your regular pension payments at any time, or from your super account.
Review your investment option — as you move through retirement, your preferred level of risk may change.
Nominate your beneficiary — decide who your super would go to if something happened to you.

If you’re applying for or receiving the Age Pension, you’ll sometimes need a Centrelink schedule. It shows the key information about your Vision Super Account based pension, used to help work out your entitlement. The easiest way to get one is by logging in to your online account.
The Age Pension is a regular fortnightly payment from the Federal Government via Centrelink, designed to support older Australians with basic living expenses. You must be at least 67 to apply, and you generally need to have been an Australian resident for at least ten years in total — with no break for at least five of those years — and be in Australia on the day you apply.
How much you receive depends on the value of your assets, your homeownership status and whether you’re in a relationship. Assets can include financial investments, property, personal items and business structures. Income from employment or financial assets may also affect your rate. Even if you don’t qualify for a full pension, you may qualify for a part pension — or become eligible later if your circumstances change. It’s normal for your needs and priorities to change during retirement, and getting the right support can make all the difference.
