Some things to consider

You can make up to $30,000 of before-tax (concessional) contributions per financial year. Concessional contributions include:

  • Employer contributions
  • Salary-sacrifice contributions
  • Personal contributions for which you claim a tax deduction

Members under age 75 can make personal after-tax contributions to an accumulation account of up to $120,000 each financial year. You may be eligible to contribute up to two additional years’ worth of this cap by triggering the bring-forward rule, bringing your limit to $360,000 within a three-year period.

There are bring-forward rules for concessional contributions as well.

You can check your eligibility and learn more about contributions here or visit the ATO website.
