Vision Super’s Innovation and Transformation Consultant, Dr Christine Brown welcomed guests to the Institute of Water Administration (IWA)’s conference dinner last week. Christine’s speech discussed the disruptions both the water and superannuation industries face – and how we can overcome these disruptions with innovation. You can find the speech here.

Do you want to work for an industry super fund that’s been looking after Australians’ retirement savings for 70 years? Are you a hard working person who loves helping people, who’s looking for a career where they can really make a difference to people’s futures? At Vision Super, we’re an industry fund that puts our member’s best interests at the centre of everything we do. We’re a top performing fund, one of the few with SuperRatings’ coveted 10 year Platinum Rating.

It’s sad fact that over 200,000 cats and dogs are put to sleep each year in Australia, simply because there are not enough homes for them. That’s 23 animals every hour of every day. But the good news is, you can save a life – and by doing so, you might find that you make your own life better.

This year’s federal Budget (handed down on 9 May 2017) did not propose major changes to superannuation. There were some minor changes aimed at helping people at both ends of the housing market.

The government has tried to sell superannuation changes in the last Budget as only affecting the rich – but they will negatively affect both ordinary Australians with average balances who want to transition to retirement and defined benefit scheme members.
